UNITS 30 x Bloodletters (540)** – Gore Drenched Icon 20 x Bloodletters (360)** – Gore Drenched Icon 10 x Bloodreavers (80)** – Reaver Blades 10 x Bloodreavers (80)** – Reaver Blades
This is the perfect list for anyone who is interested in the more “smash and bash” idea of Khorne’s lore. 50 Bloodletters will have a scary amount of damage output, especially in Bloodlords where 1/3 of their swings end in mortal wounds, instead of 1/6, assuming they charged. Taking a double-reinforced block is also not something we see that often in Khorne lists, since the general flavor is to take a single reinforced unit of something (bloodletters, blood warriors, skullcrushers, or skullreapers, generally) and build around what supports that unit.
For support, Shaun has opted for a Blood throne, Bloodmaster, and Bloodsecrator. All three of these units will take the already impressive damage output of 30 bloodletters and turn them up to 11 by adding extra attacks, potentially boosting their wound rolls against an enemy unit, and keeping them alive to fight in the next round.
Shaun has also leaned in to Khorne’s anti-wizardry by bringing along 5 priests, all of which are sporting an extra prayer from the battalion, and across the five every prayer that Khorne has access to is present. This means that positioning that huge block of bloodletters is much easier through Bloodbind and Killer Instinct, boosting their damage output even further with Unholy Flames, and keeping them alive with Bronzed Flesh.
Overall this is an excellent display of how Khorne lists can be built by simply leaning into the things Khorne already want. Pray, spill blood, repeat. Congratulations to Shaun on first place!
List Name: Blades of khorne Allegiance: Khorne – Slaughterhost: The Bloodlords – Grand Strategy: Slaughter of Sorcery – Triumphs:
LEADERS Bloodsecrator (120)** – Artefact: Banner of Blood Skarbrand (380)* Slaughterpriest (110)** – Prayer: Blood Sacrifice – Nullstone Adornment: Hand-carved Nullstone Icon Slaughterpriest (110)* – Prayer: Bronzed Flesh Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (310)** – General – Command Trait: Firebrand – Artefact: A’rgath the King of Blades – Prayer: Killer Instinct
UNITS 20 x Bloodletters (360)* – Gore Drenched Icon 20 x Bloodletters (360)* – Gore Drenched Icon 5 x Flesh Hounds (100)** 10 x Bloodreavers (80)* – Reaver Blades
And here we have the list that Shaun drew against in the fourth round. You can look between the two and see a lot of similarities, with a couple of notable exceptions.
Scott choose to bring the damage combo of Skarbrand + Boomthirster at the cost of a couple priests and the seond reinforcement on one of the units of bloodletters. Skarbrand’s damage output is appreciable, but it’s taken at the cost of support units for the reinforced bloodletters.
Past those difference my comments stay roughly the same. There is a good reason that these two list found themselves in a draw. Congratulations, Scott, on your second place victory and your 4-1-0.

Noel Fundora: I do love me some Big Waaagh. The army excels at trading pieces efficiently while scoring proficiently. Making the Swampcalla your general will give you access to the two very easy Kruleboyz battle tactics in Sneak Up and Take Dat, Ya Suckers! Pair that with the very free Big Waaagh tactic of Wait for it Ladz and you’ve already scored 3/5 BTs, meaning you only have to manage 2 from the GHB, which is simple enough with this loadout.
The extra spell enhancement gives your handy wizards great flex picks, made even stronger by the ever important Acolytes Battalion. Gutrippaz will be the cheap battleline option that exists on objectives quite well with their -1 to be hit (against no heroes and monsters). The wall of lads stands in front of the wizards, casting a multitude of damage and debuff spells. Between the Kruleboyz lore, the GHB lore, and the Wurrgog Warscroll Lazer Eyes, this is an immense castle to approach. The piggies and ragerz can scream out from the backline at a moment’s notice to clean up whatever is left standing. The Maw-Grunta is a great inclusion for a cheap monster to trounce around with. With high movement, some run and charge, the Weirdnob teleport, and Mighty Destroyers, those units will get wherever you need them to go.
Big Waaagh is the toolbox of all toolboxes that will give ya what you need for any scenario.

Carson Whitlock: Interesting Starborne list as a result of the new battlescroll. Here we see Arcane Might being brought over Lord of Celestial resonance, which will allow the Slann to control all 3 of the endless spells in this list at once (at doubled range for extra threat projection). No heavy skink presence in a Fangs of Sotek list, however, which makes the extra redeploys quite expensive if spent on those saurus. Speaking of, we see a massive block of 20 saurus warriors used to gum up objectives for primary scoring/denying. The Slann is also armed with the spacefolder’s stave, presumably to give a more reliable charge to any Raptadon Chargers that are summoned in. Not having Lord of Celestial Resonance (which makes sense with the recent nerf) will certainly affect the amount of chargers this list will be able to summon in, but clearly not enough to prevent Jack from smashing through these 5 games! Well done, Jack.

Roland Rivera: It’s a strange new world out there for Nurgle players. With the Sloppity Bilepiper’s pile-in denial shenanigans being taken away in the latest Battlescroll, movement denial and control strategies have taken a huge hit, and the devoted of the Plague God have been forced to retool. Fortunately, the book is deep enough to offer other paths to victory, among them the monster-mash strategy you see in this list.
The aim here is to pair The Glottkin’s Blightkrieg ability with punchy Hero Monsters to maximize its offensive impact. The best among those that Nurgle has access to are the Maggoth Lords, which is why all 3 are in this list. Orghotts in particular stands out as the best dance partner for The Glottkin, but don’t sleep on Morbidex or Bloab, as they are also plenty capable. Aside from that, 3 minimum units of Plaguebearers meet Battleline requirements cheaply, screen well, and occupy objectives while the big guys do the brawling. The list also has a small foot Wizard you can stuff in a corner for a high-percentage Grand Strategy bid.
The Blessed Sons subfaction is honestly not having much of an effect here – but that’s OK – this list is inherently potent enough that it doesn’t really need much help. This list is more aggressive than Nurgle lists we were seeing in the past, but I believe it is just as potent, and this result is an example of that.

Jon Anderson: Greetings, everyone, and welcome back to another Lumineth Realm-lords list review. Hailing from my personal favorite nation of Alumnia, we have Philip Springall standing at the pinnacle as the one above all when it comes to standing on circles. Forgoing the low drop count, Philip has brought the Scinari Enlightener, the mean man himself in the Light of Eltharion as well as the Twins and a few other pieces to enable his battalion choices. The inclusion of a redundant Protection of Hysh is something I’m personally a big fan of and offensive spells such as Overwhelming Heat ensures that he will have multiple tools at their disposal to counter any threat.
At the heart of this army are the blocks of Vanari Bladelords, which benefit from the Alumnia subfaction ability as well as serving to be the ideal targets for Greater Power of Hysh from the VLR. As reinforced units, they form a stalwart frontline that can weather the fiercest assaults and simultaneously put the beat down on both elite units and hordes alike. Only having one unit of Vanari Dawnriders is not where I’d want to be, but it seems the meta had devloped in a way to support the single inclusion.
During his event, Philip demonstrated his versatility and adaptability, securing victories against two Orruk Warclans, one Sylvaneth Heartwood list, and a Knights of the Empty Throne S2D list. The only round he didn’t win was a draw against the Ossiarch Bonereapers running Null Myriad which really shows the resilience of the Lumineths spell suite and how offensive their defensive spells can be.
With a well-rounded composition and a keen understanding of his armies strengths, Philip proved to be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. His trifecta mastery of: spellcasting, combat, and objective play took him to the podium and I couldn’t be prouder of my fellow Alumnian.

Walter Brock: We’re looking at an OBR list that has done well and changed a bit with the recent balance update to AoS.
Starting out, Null Myriad has changed. Its ability to stop spells has changed from a 2+ to a 4+. This significantly reduces the odds of stopping the opponents’ offensive spells. However, Null Myriad is no longer tied around needing Mortisans and Arkhan. This opens more list building options for people still wanting to go Null Myriad.
We have the normal Savant on Ossifector setup that we’ve seen several times in the past. It is a very powerful combo to protect the Grand strat and support the army.
A liege is the first deviation from the old Null lists we would see since Old Null would want to bring two Mortisans to provide their bubbles. The liege provides much more combat support for your already excellent units.
Katakros with Null Myriad is something we have seen often in the past and will probably continue to see going into the future. While Katakros provides protection and value against most threats. Null Myriad itself protects against spells. It’s important to note that Katakros does not benefit from Null Myriad due to having the Mortis Praetorians keyword.
From there, we see several common units among OBR lists. Deathriders provide a powerful battle tactic and can perform several roles depending on what you need them to do. A Brick of 6 Immortis also provides an easy battle tactic while protecting your grand Strat. 30 Mortek guard are very good at sitting on objectives when backed up by a harvester and the protective buffs the rest of the list provides.
All this fits into a battle regiment to act as a one drop.
Altogether, the list is very well rounded and set up to handle almost anything that will be thrown at it with its defensive buffs and offensive buffs. Well, done to this player.
This is the top three AoS lists for Prleški Hammer 3 that took place in Slovenia on the 2nd and 3rd of March. It saw 22 players vying to be crowned champion in a 5-game tournament.

The Top Three AoS Lists
Army Faction: Seraphon – Army Type: Starborne – Subfaction: Dracothion’s Tail – Grand Strategy: Spellcasting Savant – Triumph: Inspired
LEADERS Lord Kroak (440)* Slann Starmaster (310)** – General – Command Traits: Arcane Might – Artefacts of Power: Spacefolder’s Stave – Spells: Comet’s Call, Hoarfrost Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160)** Skink Starseer (160)** – Spells: Cosmic Crush, Merciless Blizzard
Boris Belić: Everyone knows what Starborne does, and it’s been doing what it does for a while now. So, the goal of the list was to address the obvious problem: how to shore up weaknesses while still capitalizing on the core strengths. The solution, for me, was to include 15/5 Saurus Guard in DT and invest heavily in Endless Spells, along with a different trait to the nerfed Celestial Resonance.
The flexibility is staggering. Hoarfrost versus BoK suddenly gives those 15 Guards some non-spell damage output for objective contesting. Against KO, BoC, or any other alpha strike list, the 15 Guards can soak up anything, allowing the casters to wipe the board in the following hero phase. Against any other army, the 15 Guards can be in the sky, and after teleporting Kroak forward to unload mortals, they come down to protect as the second layer of screens, summoning Skinks in front for a double screen if needed.
The choice of Endless Spells is based on versatility. Almost all lists have something important with low speed for Jaws, QSS to counteract the rising ward prominence, and Pendulum primarily to cut down KO ships with everything inside them, though other uses are always available. Overall, the list still struggles somewhat versus anti-magic, though to a lesser degree, while not only retaining the overall Starborne strengths but also offering flexibility to approach each matchup from a better angle.
Army Faction: Cities of Sigmar – List Name: My Little Ponies – Subfaction: Misthåvn – Grand Strategy: Banners Held High – Triumph: Inspired
Andrej Bunjac: To be fairly honest, my original goal for this tournament was to make a list I had fun with in terms of gameplay rather than chasing serious results or good placement. Originally I got very disappointed by playing the shooting castle that Cities were originally hyped with because it just forces me to play passive and pray to get some good rolls on prayers / spells in order to do anything. I ended up compensating for this by creating a highly mobile army with 3 monsters and 20 cavaliers and some modicum of support in terms of Command Corps and a Battlemage.
The list was crafted before the battlescroll, and it was very lucky to survive the battlescroll because of Tahlia’s generous -40 points update. I was torn between putting it in Excelsis or Misthavn, but I decided I had enough punch from the warscrolls themselves and wanted additional movement shenanigans.
The game plan is simple – you have enough mobility to be outside of the range from any major threats the opponents can bring to the table and still be able to catch them. This was most apparent in my Kruleboyz matchup where the Boltboyz couldn’t do what they usually do best – snipe threats before they become threats.
The Battlemage on Griffon is a surprisingly strong piece and can be made even stronger provided appropriate buffs like Flaming Weapon. On multiple occasions in the tournament, both my opponent and I were shocked by the output potential there.
As for Tahlia, I never got in a situation where her combat rally would be valuable to use, but her double order and punch alone made her a valuable piece to have in the lineup. The list is quite smooth with achieving battle tactics – you can make good use of Mount the Charge and Raise the Banner from the Cities book at correct times in the game. And then there is enough GHB tactics for you to fill up the remaining three.
An unusual choice I made in the list was putting a Ritual Dagger as a trinket for the Battlemage. The reasoning was knowing that with 6 drops I will rarely get priority and in case I am stuck playing first – I want to be able to buff up the 10 block of cavaliers with Pha’s Protection and Hoarfrost to make them a big counter charge threat or a pinning block.
The list was originally at 1970 pre-battlescroll and it went down to 1960 post-battlescrll. I decided to not make changes and be happy with a hefty triumph bid making sure you always have access to very needed +1 wound buff at a correct time.
All in all, I was quite happy with how the list operated in different scenarios given the limited utilization of the toolbox available to Cities and most of it was due to the surprising movement spikes you can get in the hero phase that enable you to position exactly how and where you want. On the weak side – its lack of mortal wound protection makes it fragile into many matchups, most notably Seraphon, where you would always be playing an uphill battle and scraping for points and being very powerful screen-killer.

Timon Grabovac: For me, this list answered the question, how to play KO without having 5 three hour long games.
We have 2 hammers in the always solid Gotrek and an amazing combination of 9 Endrinriggers and an Arkanaut Frigate. Gotrek has the incredible ability, to zone out a section of the board and is perfect bait for less experienced or overly brave players that think fighting him is a good idea. Gotrek’s presence in the middle of the board also discourages most armies from advancing their castle towards him, thus giving you time to wait out an opportunity to strike, while scoring the easy battle tactics KO have at their disposal.
This coupled with the Navigator debuffs and Brokk’s solid shooting gives a well rounded army that can adapt to most situations and pack a massive punch on the Frigate’s 3D6 charge.
Following the latest battlescroll, the point increases meant I had to reduce one unit of Arkanauts to 10, which was very likely the deciding factor in my round one loss agains BoC, where I was unable to effectively screen my army from the Bullgor charge.

Enes Humic: The general idea of the list is board control and using the Legion’s excellent traits to pin the opponents’ army in their deployment zone and denying the objectives. A block of thirty skeletons was supported by Vampire Lord with Hoarfrost spell in order to give them some damage output but primarily to be a main anvil of the army. Zombies and wolves are used for early pinning and completing battle tactics.
The army was deployed in a way that enables countercharge with Zombie Dragon or Mannfred, and using Unleash Hell on Zombie Dragon and Legion’s specific Monstrous Rampage to get 2 D6 attacks. This is where the primary damage output comes.
In the early game, I would keep them safe and only engage targets. I am sure I can destroy, never leave both of them in dangerous positions. Only later in the game would I commit them to fights.
In general, one hundred models on the table provide me with excellent screening and denying opponents’ movement. The list was really fun to play because of teleporting/countercharging shenanigans made possible in the Legion of the Night, and often surprise opponents who didn’t consider that extra movement with which you can easily steal objectives and deny battle tactics.
