Kieren Coates: Benoit Coming through with the big 5-0 with what almost feels like a classic skaven list from 12 months ago during the GV/GC meta
We love to see thanquol back on the table proving he doesn’t need a surfboard to show his strength, combined with double grey seers, warbringer and double priest it has access to 8 casts (with warlord for 2 spells chosen per wizard), giving access to great prayers and blizzard for some short range mortal punch.
One notable difference is the warbringer taking sheild of distraction, a rarely seen artfiact that forces the enemy to only allow 1 unit per turn to attack the warbringer in melle, allowing for suicide charges into multiple units without fear of return damage – Its an interesting choice as warpstone charm has been the go to choice for many warpstone fanatics, but Benoit has found path for the shield and has made it work
10 censors, 20 monks, hell pit, thanquol, warbringer, blizzards, great plagues – if you dont respect the output of this list expect to get tabled very quickly upon a misposition with a lethal combination of mortals and high volume physical damage.
Congratulations on the 5-0

Celefaze: The classics never die. They only fall short of the meta for a bit. With a few key differences, this is the type of list you saw quite a bit at the release of the current book. Featuring Pretenders with the Masque for turn one depravity, a healthy dose of blissbarbs for damage, blissbarb seekers for save debuffing, and slickblades for highly mobile depravity generation. At the helm is a Strength of Godhood contorted epitome general (with all the standard trimmings) for a beast of a lynchpin hero that can issue a ludicrous number of commands, debuff a major threat with the crown, and punch above its weight with multiple damage buffs. Where this list diverges deliciously is the addition of a special favorite of mine: Glutos Orscollion. A key ingredient for any ranged list that may find itself starved for depravity in the early game, Glutos shores up that early weakness by providing his own -1 to-hit aura that covers a respectably large area of the board. The big guy is also a solid melee threat and possibly the tankiest entry Slaanesh has access to. A flavorful take on the original recipe for victory with this book.

Carl Stokes: Even as we head full throttle into the indexification of AoS with the new edition this summer, we can still take the time to appreciate some excellently piloted KO lists. This one is pretty spicy, with the symmetry I love to see. Headed up by Brokk himself, this list really revolves around the perfectly balanced (as all things should be) frigate duo, both of which contain 9 endrinriggers for maximal healing and a very prickly exterior, should someone charge into them (or be charged).
Otherwise, the character department is a familiar sight, with the lack of admiral offset by a Voidstone Navigator and Stormcaller dirigible endrinmaster to unlock battleline endrinriggers and provide even more healing/shooting. Taking the nullstone icon ensures yet another automatic battle tactic for the army that’s the best in the game at scoring them. This sort of redundancy is really the name of the game for this list.
The amount of shooting that can be brought to bear, even without an ironclad, is staggering, with a killbox of 12” around each of the frigates. The classic move of slamming 2 frigates into an enemy and unpacking 18 Endrinriggers and Brokk that always strike first with extra attacks from Brokk can come as a real surprise to opponents and shatter the backbone of any army in the game.
We’ve slowly seen a transition away from the frigate/ironclad combo and more of this frigate/frigate/brokk set-up that leverages the speed and explosive melee power of the army rather than the pure shooting and mobile castle playstyle. It’s phenomenal to see how the KO book remains competitive across multiple GHBs, and the creation of fun lists like this one is something that’s been a real hallmark of AoS 3.0.
The only true weakness this army has is against massive recursion and monster truck opponents that can reach out and swat boats while maintaining the board presence to outscore them on objectives. This is an inherent weakness of non-Gotrek KO lists that can be seen here in this list’s only loss to the new FEC. Sometimes, you just don’t always have great matchups, and at the end of the day, a strong third place finish from Down Under is nothing to sneeze at! Great work, James!

Walter Brock: This list is a Katakros Petrifex list with a few new choices for dealing with different situations.
Starting off we see the Normal Spellcasting Savant, Mortisan General + Immortis Guard Brick. Aura of sterility helps protect the list from shooting.
The Soul Reaper is a cost-efficient choice to add a second wizard for the Acolytes Detachment. This lets the list get out a key spell. Or bank primal dice to stop opponent spells.
Katakros acts as the main engine of the list. Buffing everything to 11.
Deathriders are a standard unit for OBR lists. Easy battle tactics and screen + durability.
two uncommon picks are the harvester and the 6 stalkers.
The Harvester provides the best points for damage value in the Ossiarch book. When buffed by the Ossifector for rend and wound rolls. Adding 5s to explode and Katakros’s Hit buff lets the harvester act as a missile threat to take out important targets that the rest of the list doesn’t want to deal with.
6 Stalkers biggest strengths are their speed and damage. Able to outspeed many units on the field and cripple them before the opponent has a chance to hit the OBR list. With Katakros and the Petrifex bonus, any counterattack will have a hard time putting damage through on this unit.
