This is the top three AoS lists for the Oceanic Championships of Warhammer – Age of Sigmar that took place in Australia on the 14th and 15th of October. It was an invitational event with 18 players vying to be crowned champion in a 4-game tournament. There were Warhammer 40k and Kill Team events running in parallel.

As an event with less than 20 players we won’t be commenting on the lists.

Kieren Coates: The list is very heavy on hammers and designed to be played reactively based upon different matchups

It’s been built in conjunction with Mechrat (keegan) and Warpfire Minis (jordan) who have both gone 5-0 and 4-1 respectively as well

40 clanrats provides a protective screen for 1-2 turns and to prevent any alpha plays, waiting for the right opening for the list to attack

Between the 20 plague censors (10 of which may be in reserve for deepstrike), 2 verminlords and hell pits it can easily table armies in 2 turns if a gap is presented

Further the grey seers and priests provide short range mortal bursts between blizzard and great plagues, aided by Skreech’s dreaded 13th spell

All backed by triple masterclan for consistency making the engagement turn surprisingly reliable for a skaven army

However if you wish to sit back and not engage, that’s fine with the list as its grand Strat simply is to keep the support heroes alive, forcing many enemies to have to engage or risk giving away a grand strategy

It’s a list that has a strong variety of options – so be ready for a wild game!
