Fittsy: We’ve seen a good uptick in performance for the old SoBs and Thomas has taken it all the way for 1st place. We’ve been seeing a few different lists going around for the Sons often playing with the season’s mini Gargants or throwing in a regiment of renown for extra spice. Thomas has said fuck that two Warscrolls is enough with this list. This is a solid case of take what’s good. The SoA Gatebreaker is the best big warscroll and Brodd has been worth taking if the points fit in this edition. That Gatebreaker can really pop off on the ranged attacks with OPB D6 attacks and it’s got a handy move ability. 4 bigs are a solid way to play hard on the primary and the current season’s balance between primary and secondaries means this is an honest way to set up for success. 4 bigs gives you the benefit of really focusing on the board state too and with only 4 models to move each turn it’s really easy on the back. Blazing is almost a default pick and Sons are pretty well setup for Legends of the Parch. Brodd’s Stomp as the army of renown brings in some different rampages giving some handy mobility with an additional charge phase move and a decent amount of additional mortals which really add up over the game. Nice work with the current Sons Thomas!

Eduardo Rodríguez (Warhammex): This Stormcast list works with the efficiency of the Stormstrike Palladors, which get Strike-First if a Warrior Chamber unit dies during the game when they charge. Playing them in multiple small-sized units enhances board control and synergizes very well with battle tactics. Another interesting aspect of this list is Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalder’s ability to let infantry units move during the deployment phase. This can be used to move a big block of Vanquishers and a unit of Prosecutors forward to claim an objective. If forced to take the first turn, you can retreat them back into a safe position and force your opponent to commit units to score on the primary. The reinforced blocks of Vanquishers work exceptionally well with Blessed Weapons, as they can blend through units of 5 or more models and gain extra rend against infantry. It is also interesting to see a Stormcast list with virtually no shooting; however, in a GHB that incentivizes a mid-board brawl, this list performs remarkably well. Getting a solid result with this list is a great achievement—Stormcast Eternal armies are unforgiving, and losing elite units hurts.
