Roland Rivera: While Ogors have been performing well this season, the lion’s share of the results have come from the Gutbusters side of the army. It’s not often that you see the Beastclaw Raiders come out to play, so a first-place result is a very nice feather in the cap for this pilot.
As you would expect from a Beastclaw Raiders list, this army has Stonehorns, Stonehorns, and more Stonehorns, with 6 of them in total roaming about the board. The Frostlord is the strongest of the bunch, and helps the team punch through annoying Ward saves as well as being a Priest. Speaking of Priests, there are 3 of them in this list, including a Huskard on Stonehorn in the Frostlord’s Regiment and one you don’t often see in the Huskard on Thundertusk. However, the Huskard on Thundertusk has a potent anti-infantry ability that can let your army gang up on scary elites and take them out before they can threaten you.
The gameplan here is simple: charge, charge, and keep charging. This army thrives when it is dictating the terms of engagement and leveraging its potent impact mortals to take huge chunks out of units before the combat phase even begins in earnest. The winning result indicates that this army got to do just that, which is a good feeling for any Ogor player.
