We’re still seeing Nighthaunt doing well post battle scroll despite the points increases and nerf to Death Stalkers. This is a list bringing together some of the standard elements with a little extra spice. Taking Death Stalkers is still the go-to, and Morbid Conjuration is still a good pick.
But… No Dreadblades! We’re seeing a bit of a shift away from the Dreadblades now with the change to their teleport only working in your own turn. In discussions, we’re seeing people questioning whether that’s needed while there are plenty of other good options available to Nighthaunt (as the results are showing).
We’ve got Awlrach and a reinforced unit of Bladegheists for those good ol’ Nighthaunt teleport shenanigans, and this can help the Bladegheists get close to the enemy’s general or honour guard unit. Dropping just 7” away, you’ll still want to keep a command point in your pocket for rerolling that charge, but this helps keep your opponent on their toes too.
Reikenor is still good value for points, and he’s practically an auto-take if Lady Olynder isn’t on the list. We’re still seeing Hexwraiths after their points increase… although we’re seeing less of them in lists like here, which is 2 MSU units.
Pushing this list up to 3 drops is a Cruciator (who I’m a bit of a fan of both because of the damage reduction but also because I just painted mine up end of last year and I’ve not been putting on the table much since then). Together with a unit of Craventhrone, they are both sources of damage to help get that buff off for the 2 reinforced units of Harridans. We see this sort of tactic used here and there, and it looks like it has really paid off for this list!

First off, congrats to Lukas on placing 3rd with this one! We see a lot of the standard picks here even after the points increase and nerfs. Even with that, Lukas is keeping up the wins for Nighthaunt!
Death Stalkers, 2 drops, Morbid Conjuration is all as expected at this stage for NH. With the pretty popular Executioner with RotSH and Lightshard (for returning a unit OPB and an extra attack OPB).
Lady Olynder is leading the charge (although not literally, keep her away from dangerous fights!) with a nice mix of reinforced Bladegheists and Banshees who bring the punch for this list. Lady O is still great for the 2 casts (which pairs well with a nice Morbid Conjuration), bringing models back and debuffing the enemy. Despite the points increasing, we’ve still got 20 Hexwraiths across this list. We’ve got Awlrach hiding down there in the 2nd regiment, who is great for teleporting those Bladegheists and Harridans to outside of 7”. Don’t forget to save a command point to reroll that charge if you need to!
This ends up looking like a relatively simple list… which, as we all know, helps a lot as you start pushing into the 4th and 5th games. Good on ya, Lukas!
