Aleksander: I wanted to make a lists that utilities both mortal and demon side of Khorne instead of focusing purely on one side, so subfaction choice was quite obvious. The main idea of the list is that you have many units that you don’t particularly care you loose (more Blood Tithe!), while most of them can be used as a semi-hammer or a full hammer if you combo mortal and demon together. I like having a thirster in lists, to have the option to bring him back, which is not easy but was game winning for me in one game. Firebrand for extra prayer allows him to always be able to give himself the bonus rend if its needed and Ar’gath allows him to deal with more resilient big heroes. I went for boomthirster as I wanted to see bih numbers, but will probably opt for Untethered Fury in the future as a more reliable option. Slaughter priest is an auto pick for me, as I find blood sacrifice for those early blood Tithe just to good (just have skill and roll that 3+). Blood warriors server as an excellent anvil unit while also doing a respectable amount of damage, especially when buffed (bonus attack, bonus rend). A unit of Flesh Hounds was needed to almost guarantee battlefield edges as turn one battle tactic. The most spicy pick were the bloodletters and they worked out wonderfully. You’d mostly see them in units of 20 trying to act as a hammer, but I opted for a different approach with 2 units of 10. I found them in a sweet spot this way as you really don’t want to commit your hammer to kill them, and if you do I’m fine with it, its just 200 points. But if you don’t you just can’t brawl them down easily, they’ll keep coming back and keep you pinned. Of course I heavily used Khornes greatest weapon, touching units with murder lust. This can limit opponents movement and number of attacks heavily, while also denying many battle tactics, especially when combed with redeploy. I very much enjoyed playing this list, and Khorne in general, because it challenges you and your opponent to think much more about positioning of all units. And also if you loose your favourite model…hey its still a Blood Tithe!

Slaves to Darkness
Godswrath Warband
Drops: 2
Spell Lore – Lore of the Damned
Manifestation Lore – Forbidden Power

Regiment 1
Chaos Sorcerer Lord (120)
Chaos Knights (250)
Chaos Warriors (400)
• Reinforced
Mindstealer Sphiranx (170)
Faction Terrain
Nexus Chaotica
Boris: There are no wrong choices with Slaves to Darkness once the Be’lakor + Dread Chosen combo is locked in. I decided to take the safer route with the Mindstealer, Warriors, and Knights instead of the Varanguard, which I felt would get shot off in the current meta.
The idea remains theoretical, as I faced zero shooting armies, and I could have really used the Varanguard’s damage output in round 5.
Special Assignment / Priority Target on the Chosen served me well, lifting over a thousand points between two activations in most games. The weaknesses of the list are quite apparent in hindsight. Tzeentch successfully kited the Chosen throughout all five rounds, while they also traded poorly with Blood Warriors due to their returned mortal wounds.
The Mindstealer is an absolute gem of a unit. It draws attention and focus, often guiding opponents into a trap as they overextend to reach it, only to face a meaty countercharge plus Strikes Last anyway.
All in all, no wrong choices, at least not before the impending points adjustments. If I had the option to go back and change things, I do believe the 1-drop slam list is still stronger, as it simply does what needs doing better: tabling the opponent. I’ve had more games where my opponent wasn’t tabled than I’d like, with a few instances of lacking damage, particularly against Khorne and FEC.
Oh, and the Eye of the Gods dream remains just that, a dream. Once, I managed to get my Lord powered up enough, but he promptly ate a Brass Meteor and died gloriously.
A great list/army for those who enjoy wrapping up their GT games in under 1 hour. 10/10, would recommend.

Flesh-eater Courts
Lords of the Manor
Drops: 2
Spell Lore – Lore of Madness
Prayer Lore – Rites of Delusion
Manifestation Lore – Manifested Insanity

Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion (440)
• General
Crypt Horrors (280)
• Reinforced
Marrowscroll Herald (120)
• Charnel Vestments
• Cruel Taskmaster
Regiment 1
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist (340)
Morbheg Knights (320)

Morbheg Knights (320)
• Reinforced
Morbheg Knights (160)
Faction Terrain
Charnel Throne
Denis: When building my list, I knew because of how strong FEC is at the moment I needed to include Ushoran to have a wizard and beast in melee. Marrowscroll for extra rally and priest (5+ ward is everything) and ghoul king on terrorgheist for good anti character and to deploy as deterrent.
Crypt horrors serve as a very good screen with +1 to save from delusion and honor guard. They are deceptively tough to kill with 5+ ward, 3+ save(all out defense), 4 wounds per model. They serve as the perfect anvil to pin down enemy front line or soak damage so units of Morbheg knights can come and clean up.
The endless spells of FEC are all about utility and control. Barricade halves movement and prevents runs/retreats, it serves as a good screen as well. Its mostly used to prevent alpha strikes or situationally deny some Battle Tactics, while chalice is probably the MVP. The extra control it dishes out is just insane and you basically out-control everything on objectives(which also provides +1 to save rolls in delusion) or the opponent has to spend 1 cast or 1 activation of attacks to get rid of it. You cast both on 5 which also provides noble points so Ushoran can be on 6 extra fast.
So if we get to how it plays, you try to counter the flank with Terrorgheist and a 6 squad unit of Morbeghs, Ushorans position is almost always central with screen in front and another unit of 6 morbhegs for support. 3 morbeghs are scoring and utility pieces to take down spells, terrains or score. You try to position screen so that ushoran can counter charge, put strike last on enemy unit and fill himself with noble points. List was also built around shooting enemy armies, where if you get double turn you basically wipe their screen and shooting, or if you don’t, you can take the punch. Heal up and clear it afterwards.
