Fittsy: Lukas is a solid player (and all round nice guy) who is well known in Germany. He took a single loss to the winner against one of Germany’s best players. He was running a pretty common Stormcast list and getting reps with it. Krondys forms the core of this list as a hard to bring down strong wizard. With the opponent needing to get into those Longstrikes or suffer the consequences.
Declan: Krondys was rarely seen in AoS3 so its good to see that at least some monsters are back to monster-mash and monster-smash their opponents. Sure its a lot of points but – along with the Longstrikes – its not his job to get close at the beginning. Krondys is great at mopping up anything softened by the Longstrikes, or intercepting anything brave (or foolish) enough to get close to them. A great 4-1, even if he did beat up a Gloomspite along the way.

Carson Whitlock: Looks like BCR is making a comeback! In a meta with a heavy emphasis on elite units with good saves, nothing’s better than absolutely spamming mortal damage output before combat even starts. This list has a plethora of mortal damage bombs waiting to chip away at high value targets before even getting to the big show that is a monster trucks charge phase.
We see two priests in this list (the Huskard as well as the frostlord with “Touched by the Everwinter”), which are both powering up high value prayers every turn. With pulverizing hailstorm’s enhanced effect being moved to a chanting value of 8, it’s much easier to be slamming D3 * 2 mortals into a 3 inch radius at range. We also have a slaughtermaster manning the mawpit, chewing on enemies up to 18″ away with a potential D3 + 1 mortals, and the ability to cast shackles for an additional potential D3 mortals on top of that.
Then when it’s finally time to send the trucks in we see the Frostlord on Thundertusk popping his once per game +1 to Trampling Charge rolls, making each truck that makes contact inflict a MINIMUM of 5 mortal wounds (and a max of 7). If things go right for this list, it’s relatively easy to be handing your opponent north of 50 mortal damage in one turn; an absolutely crippling amount of damage for most of the top meta picks right now.
All of the above happens before any of the 5 stonehorns that are now in your face roll a single attack. Truly devastating into the right opponents, however it has the potential to be shut down by effective use of screens and any relatively good shooting output. Either way, congratulations on the podium finish! Great to see our meat lads doing well.
