Jo: Idoneth comes out on top through Chris and his THREE Eidolons! The two Storm Eidolons just give a fast and strong flank threats, but also two strong assassins to start fulfilling Master the Paths Tactics. In terms of Scouting Force, the Namarti units are a good way to do the first one relatively easily, but the later tactics will really start relying on the two reinforced units of Morrsarr Guard.

Like all Idoneth lists, it’s gonna take a lot of effort to try and maximize the damage output of all your units, which is only a testament to Chris’ play. Akhelian Beastmasters being the go-to subfaction helps though, since the Morrsarr Guard are going to need that +1 to hit if they’re looking to do sustained damage throughout the game, and one of the Storm Eidolon’s Artefact being Dritchleech helps with heeling up any eels that need topping up.

Overall, going triple Eidolon is more of a proof of how skilled Chris is, and eels are still looking strong in singles tournaments despite the rising popularity of Allopex spam. Congrats to Chris!

Mortisan Soulreaper (90)

Teratic Cohort (140)

Senshi: The Ossiarch Bonereapers received another points drop in the latest Battlescroll, and we’re starting to see them secure top positions at tournaments. In this case, Samuel Older achieved an impressive 3rd place, losing only to the Kharadron Overlords—a well-known counter to the skeletal legions.

This list features many of the classic elements we’ve seen in previous winning builds:

The Ossiarch manifestation lore, including one of the game’s strongest manifestations: the Bone-tithe Shrieker, which subtracts 1 from enemy ward saves within 12 inches.

Katakros, the army’s best warscroll. This large infantry model (which can be obscured) maximizes OBR traits, extending their aura from the standard 12 inches to 18. For just 1 CP, he can grant +1 to save to three units within that aura and enhance unit control—extremely useful when dealing with small elite units of 3 to 6 models. He’s accompanied by the Immortis Guard, who add extra survivability to the general.

The Morghasts, the hammer of the list. These units are fast, hit hard, and are tough to remove. They consistently serve as the spearhead of the attack.

We also see some newer elements becoming common after the recent point adjustments:

A wizard is needed to cast the Shrieker or the Nadirite Weapons spell, and for just 90 points, the Soulreaper is a perfect fit. His chain fight ability can also be useful in specific situations.

The Teratic Cohort is a cheap, fast-deploying unit that can effectively deal with objective-holders or screening units.
