Walter Brock: With new points come new lists. Recently, FeC have been hit with some point increases that reduced the amount of stuff they are able to take. The other big change was to lords of the Manor. Now, no longer able to be used while in combat and you also have to roll a 4+. This player decided to keep on trucking along with the Morbhegs despite the changes.
This player went for a classic approach. Ushoran with the Herald being a deadly dup of fights first and fight last.
12 Morbhegs knights to make up the core of the list. Despite the points increases and the change to lords of the manor. Morbhegs still continue to perform incredibly well when combined with all the defensive buffs FeC brings to the table.
A unique addition from most lists is actually 20 Cryptguard. They add solid bodies to the table and have a high quantity of attacks. Their no commands ability can make it tough sometimes for an opponent to take a double.
A cardinal keeps the NDP train going since the change to Lord of the manor makes deed points super important.
A vargulf to act as a second courtier for revives. And some solid punch in some bad situations.
Finally, a few units of royal beast flayers to act as screens and to blunt the output of impactful monsters like Gargants for Ogres.
All together, this is a well-rounded list that has the tools to deal with any threat. Well done to this player and his 5-0

Slaves to Darkness
Godswrath Warband
[Lore of the Damned]
[Forbidden Power]
Gaunt Summoner (190)
[General]
– 10 x Chaos Chosen (560)
[Slaanesh]
Chaos Sorcerer Lord (120)
[Infernal Puppet]
[Deathmonger]
– 10 x Chaos Chosen (560)
– 10 x Chaos Chosen (560)
Nexus Chaotica

Roland Rivera: The latest Battlescroll just upped the points on units like Chaos Chosen, but if you think that’s going to dissuade Slaves to Darkness players from running people over with them, Alisan’s list is here to crush that theory. 30 – count ’em – 30 Chosen in 3 10-packs, Gaunt Summoner for the deepstrike deployment of the 10-pack holding the Banner of Screaming Flesh that automatically pledges them to Slaanesh (referred to as the “pokeball” in some circles), and Forbidden Power for the Soulscream Bridge to potentially teleport another 10-pack. Aggression, thy name is Chosen.
This list’s gameplan is very simple – your opponent can’t score if they have no units. It doesn’t have chaff to score Battle Tactics or screen, it doesn’t have anvils to absorb damage. It is all aggression, all the time. The only defensive buff here is the Sorcerer Lord’s Oracular Visions for a 5+ Ward on one of your Chosen 10-packs. You are going to pressure your opponent hard as early as you can, and see if they can deal with it. If they can’t, you win. If they can, you lose. Short game either way.
I admire a list built with such singularity of purpose (even the Sorcerer Lord has a double fight ability – beware the Wizard bonk!), especially when it has enough juice to podium a tournament. Not sure how much we’ll see of this style of list going forward, but it has firmly planted its flag (see what I did there?) and said that the Chosen missile isn’t out of rockets yet.

Blades of Khorne
Bloodbound Warhorde

Wrathmongers (130)

Mighty Lord of Khorne (130)
Aspiring Deathbringer (90)
• Ar’gath, The King of Blades
Claws of Karanak (110)
Karanak (110)
Faction Terrain
Skull Altar

Patrick German: Joseph has brought a fairly straightforward Khorne list for this event. Bloodbound Warhorde is going to ramp up the efficiency of both Blood Warriors and Skullreapers as they try to clear objectives.
Blood Warriors are tough as nails, and punish opponents who commit too much melee into them. With proper support from the Aspiring Deathbringer they can be a serious melee threat while also playing attrition in the midboard. The Mighty Lord can also give the Deathbringer Strike First, allowing both units to fight before the enemy can hit back.
Claws of Karanak will provide early pressure and allow scoring some movement-based tactics while harassing the enemy with their high volume of attacks.
Karanak is also here.
I’m going to be honest, I can’t figure out why Karanak is here. He provides support for Flesh Hounds, but there are no Flesh Hounds present. He doesn’t have the Flesh Hounds keyword, so the Claws of Karanak don’t benefit from having him nearby, and while the quarry ability is neat he doesn’t have the damage output to be a real threat. Maybe I’m missing something, or maybe Joseph just wanted to have some fun with his last 100pts.
Peter Holland: We shared Patrick’s commentary with our Patreons, and Daniel Vogel was on hand to give us the insight into Karanak.
Daniel Vogel: Karanak is in for early pin protection. For example, you make the gaunt Summoner his pray, then this gaunt Summoner makes his silver Tower shannaigan, then you move karanak in opponents movement phase, redeploy him, then murder lust him and you have bound those Chosen in combat, this trick has up to 17″ range with karanak
