Your Community Needs You: Help Shape the UK Warhammer Old World Masters

The Old World has surged, and the UK scene is currently leading the charge with some of the most vibrant, competitive, and inclusive events on the planet. But as any General knows, a solid frontline is only as good as the support behind it.

So, to keep this momentum going, the UK Warhammer Old World Masters and Rankings team has officially announced they are opening applications for their first-ever Community Committee.

This is your chance to move beyond the tabletop and help steer the national hobby we all love.

Before I jump into the details, I wanted to remind everyone of our friendly Discord server where you can join in the conversation with the Woehammer crew and suggest articles or series for the website.

A Community-Led Future

The UK Masters & Rankings is built on inclusion, competition and transparency. Hosted at OldWorldRankings.com, the system is designed to celebrate players at every level.

This means it isn’t a closed shop or a shadowy cabal. Elected national representatives are driven by the players, as seen in the recent community survey results. This new committee is the next step in that evolution.

The Two Ways to Make an Impact

The committee is looking for dedicated volunteers to fill two distinct roles, depending on where your strengths lie:

  • Stream A: Community Engagement
    Are you a “hype builder”?
This team focuses on communication, managing social media, and running initiatives on the Discord server. The goal is to keep the “buzz” alive between tournaments and shine a spotlight on the winners and characters that make our community great.
  • Stream B: Tournament Development
Are you a rules expert or a logistics whiz?
This stream acts as the architects of the UK Warhammer Old World Masters standards. You’ll assist with the bidding process for venues, draft a pack for the Masters, and help refine how the national rankings function.

2025 saw 3,300 tournament participants, with that number growing substantially year-on-year.

These spread the length and breadth of the UK from Belfast to Canterbury, all contributing to the final rankings.

Power to the Players: The “Call-In”

Players are at the centre of everything, all committee members will collectively hold “Call-In” Power. This allows the committee to collectively pause any major decision made by the Chairs for 48 hours. During this time, the Chairs must provide a public justification for their choice or reconsider, ensuring that transparency remains the bedrock of the organisation.

How to Get Involved

If you want to help make the UK the best place in the world to play The Old World, here is what you need to know:

  • Applications Open: Now!
  • Applications Close: Sunday, April 26, 2026.
  • The Process: If a stream has more than 7 applicants, the community will move to a democratic vote to select the top 7.

To apply, head over to the UK Masters & Rankings Discord, copy the application template, and open a ticket in the #community-role-applications channel.

Whether you are a veteran of Warhammer Fantasy or a newcomer to the glory of the UK Warhammer Old World Masters, your voice matters. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to apply.

Join the Discord and help build something legendary together. 🚀
