This series is simple. What I’ve actually painted, based and is ready for the table will be shown. No nearly done here!
Some of this will be for current projects, some for slow-grow challenges, some because a unit has been sat half-built since last century and is quietly judging me.
It’s a mix of Age of Sigmar, Old World, 40k and other projects that refuses to die. Much like my pile of shame.
Old World: Empire of Man – Longbows
First up are Keeler’s Longbows, painted for this month’s Slow-Grow and for my Grudgebringer mercenary force.
If you ever played Shadow of the Horned Rat or Dark Omen, you already know these lads.
I’ve tried to do the scheme the same as they appear in the game. We’ve got Night Lord Blue clothing with highlights of Kantor Blue and Macragge Blue. The white is Wraithbone highlighted with White Scar.
Basing ties them firmly into my Grudgebringer army, woodland ground cover, scattered stones, and low colour contrast.
On the table, they’ll be the long-range support for the Grudgebringers, alongside my Grudgebringer Crossbowmen. Softening targets, and occasionally surviving far longer than anyone expects.
