CORE BATTALIONS:
*Warlord
**Galletian Sharpshooters
***Galletian Veterans

TOTAL POINTS: (1995/2000)

This list reads like a top 10 of the beast (see what I did there?) BoC units. A thin screen of Ungors for whatever you need them for and Bullgors to push up the centre. They have quite the glow up with the recent book, good to see them on tables in big numbers. Tzaangor Enlightened without discs for solid output if a bit slow. Hard to think of Ungor Raides as “Sharpshooters,” but with the Darkwalkers’ ability to slink off a board edge and back on, they are significant, mobile threat.

The Doombull and Bullgors offer excellent control, be that the centre or an edge objective with the Raiders providing some ranged backup and movement potential. The Doombull is rigged for durability and trouble, allowing a reserve unit to set up within 7″ (Bestial Cunning), applying a strike last to a unit after charging (Slitherwrack) and a once per game heal. The spells on the Shaman either straight mortal wounds (Viletide) or apply fights last (Stranglevine). Good choices with the limited spell casting buffs available and once a game summoning a unit helps to (Brayblast). Most to the time the Tzaangor Enlightened will start in Ambush with the Bullgor weathering the storm in the first round.

I’m assuming the Herdstone was included in the list (but not shown). With it’s rend increase from Round 2 and again in Round 4, it’s an autotake that means you need to preserve units until they are at their most effective. Handled well, they are a strong army, as seen here, taking most of the top armies on and winning until undone by Nurgle Chaos Knights (Slaves to Darkness). They are hard to kill and mobile enough to create a lot of issues, especially for an army limited to teleports and 6″ moves.

Top Three AoS Lists for Ironweld

Advertisements

This is the top three AoS lists for Ironweld that took place in the USA on the 27th and 28th of May. It involved 57 players vying to be crowned champion in a 5-game tournament.

Short Announcement

As a group, we’re finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to write commentary on the tournaments as they crop up. You may have seen this through a few days where there isn’t an article posted at all.

To combat this, the decision has been made to publish the top three without comments. Where possible, writers will then revisit in the future to add comments if they feel its necessary.

I’m sorry that this is the route we’ve had to take. The only other option in the shirt term would have been to stop producing top 3 articles, but we really didn’t want to do that.

Another win for Slaanesh, leaning heavily on the depravity generation of Blissbarb but with a lot of different parts from the Heroes to the units themselves. Pretenders again with Glutton for Depravity as the Grand Strategy. That means that if you can control the depravity generation, they won’t summon – but the list is designed to push hard and generate a lot of DP quickly. Starting with the heroes, the Contorted Epitome is built as a GC slayer, turning off your melee and increasing its damage. Nothing too unusual. The Shardspeaker is generating extra DP but is also built to take an objective and battle tactic if the opportunity is there. The Masque is unique and has a very aggressive ploy if you are willing to gamble on going first. With 12 drops, I think Anthony was planning to be given first turn most times.

Both kinds of Seekers for objective control, harassing units, and if pushed screens. The Painbringer are the obvious Euphoric Killers targets. After that, though, the list departs from the normal. The Cockatrice lost the Monster keyword but is still a very mobile annoying piece to deal with. Damage 2 attacks and 8 wounds make it a problem to kill even without Rend. The Furies have a similar role, or you could think of them like Heartrenders. Very quick units for Battle Tactics, screens, and generally annoying. The draw did Anthony no favours, but the varied list had a lot of answers. It may look unusual, but everything has a roll in the list.

Ghost cavalry attacks. Following the latest releases and battlescroll, Nighthaunt has fallen back into the pack. It’s no surprise that Nate is back with an unusual list. It plays into the current meta well with significant shooting (short range but ignores cover and lines of sight) and small mobile unit. It’s a complete 180 from the Bladegheist or Harridan lists. This list is outscoring you more than destroying you. Still, Reikenor or the Knight of Shrouds are capable in combat. And can take advantage of Lauchon (combat spell casters).

Bouncing off Stormcast, their natural enemy, the army dominated most of the current threats, including Gravelords and Khorne. I don’t think it’s a list that just anyone can use, but it’s an interesting option. With Emerald’s Host constant mortal wounds and their frequent small attacks, it can wear down or bog down key units. Mobility is key, or if you are the opponent, trying to stop the Hexwraith scattering. Concentrating on the Craventhrone may be a bit of a trap even with their shooting. With only a 12″ range, you can play around them

Lots of head winds for Slaanesh since their book dropped with SBGL, KO, OBR and Khorne all vying for attention. We’ve seen a lot of Slaanesh armies podium but not always take first. Here we have first, with with an absolutely gorgeous army of mortals making this very accessible. We don’t often talk about this but apart from the Leaders and twinsouls you can build the rest of the army from the Vanguard kit.

So many sacrifices, I mean mortals, this list is designed to generate as many DP as quickly as possible while spreading you out. Whether its from Temptation (Archers), Euphoric Killers (Twinsouls) or Born of Damnation (Epitome) this list is going to generate a lot early. But the Grand Strategy is Selfish Desire, summon no daemons during the battle, no instead this army is taking advantage of Revel in Depravity. They are gambling you can’t kill them fast enough to avoid them gaining enough DP for the whole army to be at -1 to hit, Mortal wounds (MW) on 6s and a 5+ ward. At that point all of these frail mortal units become very tanky.

The list makes a lot of sense when you look at it like that, the Seekers can take objectives early with their movement and if targetted grant DP. The Blissbarbs stay back and pepper you forcing Temptaions with the Twin Souls as a screen. At the centre there is Gluttos who buffs the army and makes it hard to charge but can allow units to fall out of combat before they are struck back (in their and your combat phases) with Phantasmagoria. Then there is the Epitome to hunt any GCs or be a GC, Dark Crown lets him reduce attacks to 1 for something at the start of the game. That’s on top of extra rend and damage from Strength of Godhood.

This isn’t some fancy list tech, the army had to be handled and moved very carefully, until they generate enough DP it’s very fragile, except Gluttos and the Epitome. They are also a bit of an emergency button, if that’s all you have left you are still going to be able to push out a lot of damage and still score Battle Tactics. In the end this combination did very well beating out eveything except Sylvaneth treelords. There may be justice here, First beat second head to head and lost to third while second lost to first and beat third.

Oh hey look it’s not Legion of Blood!

Turns out Vyrkos is pretty damn rad as well huh? The fluffier sub-faction of the book (although…troubling, this list has no wolves…) is the home of choice for chaff, given it can utilise a heroic action to bring models back over a deadwalker’s starting strength and also, once per game, just summon a pack of 10 direwolves.

The zombie and Deathrattle wall is backed here by the usual synergy-foot heroes, Graveguard blob, plus Radukar as a fantastically annoying (with his -1 to hit and wound) harassment piece who can also act as a nice trigger for the ‘hero then another unit fights’ Vyrkos ability.

Paired with two units of Blood Knights as fast movers who are part anvil, part hammer and packed neatly into a 2 drop double bat-reg, this is a much more flexible take on Soulblight that excels at board control and has mad levels of chaff recursion.

Of course – it lost to Slaanesh, which is the problem in this meta – this many bodies is just an irresistible depravity party for the purple pervs – an unfortunate scissors/rock scenario perhaps which is, of course, why Legion of Blood is the premier tournament choice at the moment. A shame that the one match up is probably keeping the other Soulblight factions from succeeding at a tourney level. Kudos to Aaron either way!

We have a mystery writer this week adding their comments for the Kharadron Overlords.

Mystery Writer: Currently a lot of KO lists tend to fall into either a melee focused, or a shooting heavy alpha strike archetype such as the feared “thunderbridge” list, that usually would bring 25 rend stacking Grundstock thunderers, that would essentially alpha strike turn one and blow your army to smithereens. Due to this It’s absolutely refreshing to see a super well thought out list that doesn’t put all its ather gold into one basket , but instead brings a lot of mobility, mortal wound output, one of each boat, some heavy shooting supported by some utility and melee options, as well as some very fun potential tricks!

As with most KO lists it is really worth looking at the “Sticking to the code” choices first, as it provides good insight into what the list might try to accomplish in the first couple of turns. For Artycles, we very often see the +1 wound vs a unit or the +4 rally (or both at once), however, this list has opted for the extra 2” movement on the boats! This coupled with the 2D6 run, and a boat being able to receive 2 commands in the same phase (meaning we can run a boat 2D6 and issue run and charge from the admiral) the Navigator hero phase move shenanigans, the humble Gunhauler could move up to 38” from deployment, for the most insane bombing run (as it can drop bombs on units it flies over), and still make a charge move for a potential 50” threat range and thats without the 3D6 charge! The list also has a handy Codewright, which I assume will try to swap to the 3D6 charge once the Gunhauler and the frigate ran up and down the board a few times to confuse the enemy!

KO have some incredible artefact choices, so picking them is fairly difficult as you might be giving up something potentially game-changing. We have a handy “Command encourage” battalion to help make the choice a bit challenging. Matthew has chosen to go with the “Celestium burst grenade”, which is a fairly standard choice as it turns off wardsaves for a unit, making them even more vulnerable to the incredible shooting of KO, along with a voidstone orb, for a potential game changing auto unbind. The command trait “Ex-grundstock” makes our Thunderers battleline, meaning we can double reinforce them to a huge 15 man stack that can receive a couple extra rend on their weapons, along with a potential +1 wound from inspired, making them incredibly scary.

The subfaction choice is also worth noting. Barak-Zilfn has become a fairly popular subfaction as of late, as it makes the Frigate battleline, making a one drop very achievable while also making the minimum 3 battleline requirement incredibly easy. However, the subfaction also provides 2 great endrinworks, which also provides some fun options. The ironclad received “The Last Word Arkanaut Ironclad”, giving it a free shooting action with one of its guns when charged, which along with “unleash hell” from the thunderers on board and the supremacy mine, makes the Ironclad incredibly resilient to charges. The other upgrade went to the Gunhauler, which, in the charge phase, gives it the ability to roll dice equal to the charge roll, and for each 4+, it inflicts a mortal wound. This could be combined with the 3D6 charge roll, for some very spiky damage output, meaning this speedy boat can go around the entire board (with its insane 56” threat range) , lifting screens off and/or stealing side objectives.

Gitz is a great book if internal balance is your thing. There are some many viable factions, Troggoths builds are maybe the most common, but you still see people mixing up Leaders and the Battlelines. Curtis has done that here, going down the Troggoth line but adding in a Webspinner Shaman and running Stabbas (shooters would be the usual pick). The Webspinner is a cheap caster who can just give himself run and charge on a 4+ (on 2D6) as well as counting as 10 models on objectives. Look for him to be holding an out of the way objective.

The Stabbas are about objective control (they control an objective within 9″ if there are more than 20 models). This list can spread to cover a lot of objectives easily. It forces the opponent to make choices they probably don’t want to make – chase the Stabbas for easy clearance or pin down the Rockgut Troggoths? If you let the Troggoths (especially the Dankholds) roam, they’ll cost you, but the Stabbas are pontentially worth as much as a battle tactic each round.

Otherwise, the list is fairly standard, Skragrott, because you really have to even at 200pts. Madcap for possible teleport and CP along with the Dankhold to buff the Rockgut and cause havoc. Only Blades of Khorne created issues. Their output, if the dice run hot is epic, all others succumbed to the goblin tide.

I commented recently that we’ll be seeing a fair few variations on the Legion of Blood archetype – and here we are! Skip ahead if you’ve heard this one before…

It’s Neffie – who I think even after the FAQ ‘nerfs’ (I mean, did anyone really think they were going to remain that way?) is still a fantastic tactical pick – and tanky as all fuck VloZD (thanks to being ethereal from Cloak of Mists) – msu Deathrattle battleline tax and the two usual hammers, a brick of Blood Knights and a brick of Graveguard.

The way it works on the table is just a big push forward with a bunch of stuff almost no opponent will be able to easily deal with, thanks to Neffie’s -1 to hit aura, great healing potential on all the vamps, Deathrattle popping up on objectives all over the shop, and ethereal (with the FAQ, no longer ‘unrendable’) Blood Knights as the vanguard. It’s simple, tanky, and very effective.

Interestingly it lost only to Khorne, who I imagine have the sheer MW output in a demon list (which it will be given it’s Reapers of Vengeance) to cut through those ethereal saves and kill stuff off before it can heal back all the damage – but that says a lot about what you might want to bring to counter Legion of Blood lists!

Either way, congrats to Whitney for being two of the big bad meta threats along the way to a podium finish.

Plenty of Mortek Guard and Deathriders backed by the typical heroes as part of an Ivory Host. Exploding 6s is always fun. Deathriders for mobility and pressure on objectives with a tough castle at the heart. With 2 Boneshapers and Katakros, the reinforced Mortek Guard will be very tough (impossible) to shift for most opponents. Add a potential fight last (from the crawler), and combat armies are in a world of hurt, especially if a guard unit gets both Nadirite Weapons and Soul Guide (+1 to wound). A wide, slow, and very tough castle to stake out the centre of the table and small units of Deathriders to snipe units or objectives. Tunnel master and Empower Nadirite Weapons on the same Boneshaper is interesting, probably signalling a late game Tunnel Master for either a Battle Tactic or to take an objective away from their opponent.

The list did struggle to score. Taking objectives isn’t easy with 4″ of movement, that’s why we have Deathriders. The combination of toughness and damage output worked well against the mostly melee opponents with the list dominating everything from Idoneth to Blades of Khorne). Unfortunately KOs shooting and mobility were too much to overcome, KO will probably remain a counter to OBR with their improved combat on top of their strong shooting and mobility (yes, I know it isn’t what it was).

I’m going to be writing a lot of similar commentaries aren’t I?

It’s Legion of Blood, with Neferata, the usual ethereal VloZd – and msu deathrattle.

However, the list differs a little from the archetype by doubling down on the Graveguard blobs, with a foot vampire to support them. He’s also packing the fantastic Amulet of Screams for threatening wizards with mortals every time they cast to shore up the Soulblight weakness to magic in general.

Cado also makes an appearance, which is nice to see – he’s still a really solid little indie operator with a lot of tactical flexibility, and even though he loses out on faction synergy, he’s still a great tech piece.

I imagine the new Bonereapers were the biggest threat to Qifan’s campaign, but they couldn’t stop Neffie’s roll, and so we enshrine another SBGL 5-0 in the books, and add another tick to the GW ‘nerf column’…

Roland Rivera: Ossiarch Bonereapers have roared onto the scene since the release of their 3rd edition Battletome, and this Petrifex Elite list showcases some of the major reasons behind their success, which are potent elite troops, tons and tons of buffs, and more mobility than what you’d expect from looking at the Move stat on their warscrolls. A note that has to be provided coming in is that this tournament used the Petrifex Elite subfaction ability that was printed on the Ossiarch Bonereapers Battletome, which reduced incoming damage against units with the Hekatos keyword by 1, to a minimum of 1 (it has since been changed by FAQ to be -1 to wound those units in melee). This ability made its elite units very durable against most means of attack, and combined with the healing afforded by Katakros and the Mortisan Boneshaper to make this a very resilient list.

Speaking of Katakros, he is the engine that makes this list go. His Supreme Lord of the Bonereaper Legions command (which hands out +1 to hit and +1 to save in a huge bubble) is a fantastic force multiplier, and he has several other abilities to go with it and can contribute in combat in a pinch (though note that the Supreme Lord of the Bonereaper Legions cannot be issued if Katakros is in combat). The Mortisan Boneshaper does his part by being a Drain Vitality/Mystic Shield caddy that can also do a bit of healing and carries around the Diversionary Tactics command trait for -3 to opposing charges within 12″ of it. The Liege-Kavalos is quick, durable, and can issue Endless Duty for +1 Attacks.

This list also boasts a pretty impressive troop lineup to soak up all these buffs. Immortis Guard are a great grindhouse unit that can both hit hard and take a hit, Necropolis Stalkers are punchy and sneaky-fast thanks to Relentless Advance for +3″ move and Hunt and Kill for run & charge, and the Morghasts are fast fliers that can shut off command abilities. Last but certainly not least, the Kavalos Deathriders are a versatile tech unit that has speed, good durability, and can contribute some damage with their impact hits on the charge.

All in all, while this list is a bit thin on bodies compared to some other armies (something that likely was a factor in its loss to Soulblight), it’s generally good enough at fighting to make up for it.

TOTAL POINTS: 1985/2000

Flexibility and speed like all Hedonites lists. Everything fits in a Battle Regiment to give initiative control. The Grand Strategy is to have 36 Depravity Points (DP) at the end of the battle, and the list is designed to deliver. 3 Blissbarb Archers (1 reinforced) and a reinforced Slickblade Seeker unit will create a lot of DP opportunities through temptations and euphoric killers. The Keeper of Secrets can amp up the Slickblade, granting improved rend and damage to himself. Assuming Phantasmorgoria is on the right enemy unit, it can keep the Slickblade from getting clapped as well. And if this isn’t generating enough DP, the Contorted Epitome is better than 60% chance to generate 3 more a turn. Mesmerising Mirror adds to this feast of DP as well.

The list still has 2 Galletian Champions (Epitome and Lord of Pain). The Lord of Pain has the mobility through Tunnel Master. Park him on a remote objective if the centre is won and support him with the Blissbarb Seekers to use his buff to create a really annoying nest, especially late game. Everything in this list is focused on generating DP or survival (for the Keeper), making it very likely that from Turn 2 on the whole list is doing mortals on 6s and has a 5+ ward. That was enough to stop almost everything except new Bonereapers in their tracks. A tough list to face, so much of this list is mutually supporting but also expendable.

Aspect of the Champion

Austin is a long-time Ork player who pushed Ironjawz and Big Waagh into the top 10 and onto the podium consistently. Big Waagh seems to be the way to go for Orks right now. This is an Ironjawz heavy list adapted for the latest Battlescroll. No Warchanta with an Arcane Tome for Hand of Gork here. The Shaman has been brought along. But made general so he can take Master of Magic to get around the Ork casting problem. 6 Leaders is a bit more than a lot of lists, but Big Waagh lives and dies by the Waagh points. A Warchanta and Wurrgog are worth 3 every round. Add in Get ’em beat to increase the chances of a successful charge an another Waagh point.

All of them have a role, though. The Megaboss is the GC everyone loves to hate. With Tunnelmaster and Destroyer, he can act independently to take an objective or clean up an objective for a BT. He works well with Brutes and is a source of free command. The Swampcaller is there for the Boltboyz, either making it hard to shoot them or hand off a poison. And then there is the Wurrgog. The build on the Wurrgog is fun, fights last is always great but the Glowing Tatts (+2 to ward rolls) and Fuelled by Ghurish rage – just when you think it’s dead, it’s back for another round of staring.

Other than that, a couple of expendable units of Boyz for screens or late game objective control. The Brutes are the real powerhouses in the list with the Boltboyz for solid backing. Gore-gruntas for early capture and Waagh points. The only real weakness in the list is Jagged Gore-Hackas. 2 rend is nice, but 1 damage means that the output is very low. Into units like Nurgle marked Knights, they really struggle. They also weaken as the game goes on which which Chaos armies don’t, at least if they have summoning. A very accessible, positive list and one to keep an eye on.

Total: 2000 / 2000

Today, we have the great Mark Nodge with Kharadron Overlords list who decided to choose violence. And guns, lots of guns… To hell with it, all the guns. In a trial run of the list, he is taking the Age of Sigmar World Teams Tournament representing Team Australia in early June. He blasted his way through SAGT like Michael Bay blasts through a blockbuster movie.

This list features Grundstock Thunderers, thirty-five Grundstock Thunderers, all packing special weapons for that extra sauce. Thunderers have been the go-to unit for Kharadron devastation of late, and this list skews about as hard into them as possible. The upgrades to their range and consistency with the new Battletome combined with the rend buff from the Khemist makes them deadly at eighteen inches and devastating at twelve. Furthermore, they have the ability for them to give a minus one to hit if they fail to kill something, or unleash hell, from suppressing fire, and finally if someone does tag them in combat if they survive, they get to dump up to 3d6 mortal wounds on their attacker.
The biggest issue with the unit overall is its slow speed, which Mark has offset with multiple ways of getting them where they need to be. First off, we have the traditional Ironclad, which is an excellent shooting platform in its own right. The ability teleport, and once per game, dump its cargo, making it the precision piece of this equation. Next up, we have a Soulscream bridge in a spell in a bottle attached to a Khemist. This is a unique endless spell that has two massive bases that must be set up within twenty-four inches of the caster, then at the start of the movement phase, a single unit wholly within six inches may teleport. Even though this can only be cast once per game and is easy to dispel, the utility beyond the teleport itself is amazing. The bases are massive, so you can use them to screen pieces or even lane blockers against armies like Gargants.

Lastly, we have a Gunhauler with a very cheeky “Coalbeards Collapsable Compartments” Endrinwork. This rarely seen contraption gives the Gunhauler the Transport Vessel keyword and a six-man capacity. This is perfect for the unit of five Thunderers to roam around in, and when combined with the Gunhaulers unparalleled movement in the army it can go camp out on an objective while still presenting enough of a threat that chaff units cannot easily shift them off.

Overall, this is an outstanding skew list that presents multiple tough units that are a must kill with just enough support redundancy to keep it all afloat. It should dominate the horde based undead that are currently running rampant, such as Soulblight Gravelords and Ossiarch Bonereapers. It might have some difficulty with armies like Beasts of Chaos and Slannesh, who can pressure the heroes outside of combat. I look forward to seeing how Mark does with it at Worlds.

Kieren Coates: The list was inspired by IronBlaze – a mad man who has been running doomwheels competitive rain hail or shine.

It’s designed to be a castle buster with still a strong core to finish out the game

Thanquol and verminlord make the base of the list, with thanquol being the key piece into magic dom and horde lists, and the verminlord being the primary physical damage output – if these two pieces are protected over 5 turns they can lift almost any army

Surrounding them to keep them safe is 3 sets of 20 clanrats acting as barriers and forcing the enemy to trade high value units into them, only to have them countered off and the lines rebuilt

For long-range damage, we have two grey seers who can be skitterleaped up the board to drop endless spells before taking gnawholes back.

Further to this, the doomwheels (or better known Zoomwheels) can have their movement doubled by the engineer, combined with 2 sources of death frenzy, levitate and MMWP they become a killing machine with an average movement of 28 inches.

Lob those doomwheels over the top to kill off key pieces that could threaten the life of the warbringer and thanquol, then keep them protected as they lift 2 units per turn and repeat for 5 turns to win the game.

The list is surprisingly concentrated with low health, so it’s best not to get too greedy and take it slow, killing 1-2 units per turn, but staying protected from the enemy counter is a must

TOTAL POINTS: 2000/2000

At first glance, this list looks typical for Bloodtoofs, Ironjawz with a Mawcrusha, Megaboss, and 18 Gore gruntas. But there is a little more depth to it. Kyle has tried to address the dismal output of Gore gruntas (Jagged Gore-hackas are 1 damage weapons) with Bash ’em lads and Killa beat. The Mawcrusha has Arcane Tome with Bash ’em ladz and Touched by the Waagh, pick a unit with 6″ and cause D3 wounds to them, the caster gets the number of wounds added to their casting roll. Now, the 8 is at least a 7 and more often than not a 6 casting roll. It grants +1 to wound rolls. Killa Beat (not often seen either) grants +1 to hit. With so many units spreading, the buffs will help, especially with Skull Shaking Bellow, to apply 3 commands for the cost of one (all out attack, for instance). 4 units can have +1 to attack.

The other benefit is that the 3 model units are much easier to move and pile in. It can make a difference to both mortals on the charge and just getting your attacks into the right unit. Shot off the board once by Kharadron it was otherwise an effective approach. The whole list is mobil (except the Warchanters) and can get up in your grill quickly. If the dice are hot, they are a real menance still, especially when you can buff the Jagged Gore-hackas.

TOTAL POINTS: 1990/2000

Roland Rivera: Here, we have a spicy Nurgle list that successfully executed the submarine (lose Round 1, win the rest of the way to clinch the 4-1). The Befouling Host subfaction lets Nurgle focus more on summoning by letting them place 2 Feculent Gnarlmaws instead of 1 at the start of the game, thus generating more Contagion Points and hitting their summoning benchmarks a bit faster. This is important because (as we will see below), most of the combat blocks in this list are rather lacking in foot speed, and summoning will be necessary to complement your board presence.

In order to get an extra Gnarlmaw, Befouling Host demands a Daemon General, and that is where we see the rather uncommon inclusion of a Great Unclean One. While the big fella is a bit slow, he packs some utility with his chosen artefact in the Witherstave, which makes the mortal wounds from disease points go off on 3+ instead of 4+. It also provides even more summoning points via the Doomsday Bell. Last but not least, Stream of Corruption gives you a potent short-range horde clearing spell that can line up very well into armies with lots of foot troops.

Another interesting inclusion is the Lord of Blights, along with the 3 units of Putrid Blightkings. Blightkings are efficient volume attackers that are very good at chewing up weaker troops, and the Lord of Blights is a durable foot Hero (especially with Fuelled by Ghurish Rage acting as a backstop) that gives you a bit of shooting.

These interesting inclusions are rounded out with some mainstays in Bloab, Nurglings, and the Rotmire Creed. All in all, this is a very interesting list featuring some uncommon choices, but it has the result to back it up.
